Day 2: A day to Discover Padua
Today, following another delicious breakfast buffet in the courtyard of the hotel, Tricia took us on a brisk walking tour of Padua's colorful market squares, the Anatomy Theater, through the College district, and to the Scrovegni Chapel. There was endless beauty in the aged old buildings, statues, and parks. What I noticed to be so different from America is that young families and older couples were strolling the streets, holding arms, living a life of a
slow pace and seemingly enjoying each others company. There were few vehicles, no honking horns , and helmet free bicyclists weaving amongst the pedestrians in attempt to make it to their destinations. They seemed to be in no rush to be any where in particular. Their life style seemed simple, warm and something to model.

Side Walk Art
While visiting the Scrovegni Chapel we witnessed a young local man & woman doing this chaulk art.
It was amazing that all over Italy there was Graffiti on both the beautiful historic buildings and the new motels and store fronts. When asked about it I was told that it too is art and no one worries about it.
